Key responsibilities:
Execute electrical isolations, switching and lock-out/tag-out procedures safely and in compliance with permits.
Read and update electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs and maintenance records; log work in CMMS.
Diagnose faults under time pressure and implement temporary or permanent repairs.
Assist with electrical upgrades, retrofits and new equipment installations.
Support emergency response and participate in safety drills.
Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures and regulatory standards.
Mentor junior electrical technicians and coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, instrumentation, rigging).
Required qualifications & skills
Trade qualification or diploma in electrical engineering/electrical trades, Knowledge of hazardous-area equipment/ATEX/IECEx requirements for explosive atmospheres.
Ability to perform relay settings, cable fault locating, insulation testing and megger testing.
Competence with electrical drawings, power calculations and splice/joint techniques for subsea/rig cables if relevant.
Welding, rigging awareness and co-ordination with offshore crane operations beneficial.
