Pharmacist

Key  responsibilities

Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions.
Verify prescription appropriateness and check for drug interactions, allergies, duplications, dose/route issues.
Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, adherence, storage.
Perform medication therapy management (MTM) and clinical reviews.
Administer vaccinations/immunizations (where authorized).
Compound sterile and non‑sterile preparations when required.
Maintain patient records, controlled substance logs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff; train and delegate tasks.
Manage inventory, ordering, expiry control, and prevent drug shortages.
Communicate with prescribers to clarify or optimize therapy.

Qualifications & requirements

High school Diploma or equivalent,  Clinical knowledge of pharmacotherapy, pharmacokinetics, and drug interactions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear patient and provider communication.
Counseling and motivational interviewing.
Problem solving and clinical decision making.
Supervisory and team leadership.
Familiarity with pharmacy information systems, e‑prescribing, and insurance adjudication.
