Plumber

Key responsibilities includes;  Install, assemble, maintain and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures (toilets, sinks, showers), water heaters, boilers and gas lines.
Read blueprints, building specifications and plumbing diagrams to determine layout and materials.
Diagnose issues (leaks, clogs, low pressure, backflow) and perform corrective work.
Cut, thread and bend pipe; solder, braze, glue and use mechanical fittings.
Pressure-test systems and inspect for code compliance and safety.
Service and install pumps, valves, water-treatment and drainage systems.
Coordinate with contractors, electricians, inspectors and customers.

Required technical skills;

Pipefitting (copper, PEX, PVC, CPVC, cast iron, steel).
Soldering, brazing, threading and use of hot knives or crimp tools.
Knowledge of water supply, drainage, waste, venting and stormwater systems.
Read/interpret blueprints, isometric drawings and building codes.
Use of inspection cameras, pressure gauges, pipe locators and leak detectors.
