Core duties:
Read blueprints and technical diagrams to plan wiring layouts
Install and connect wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, and fixtures
Inspect electrical components (transformers, wiring, breakers) for safety issues
Test systems using tools like voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters
Diagnose and repair electrical faults
Follow national and local electrical codes and safety standards
Maintain and upgrade older electrical systems
