Rigger

Inspect, select, and set up rigging equipment (slings, shackles, chains, wire ropes, hoists, cranes)
Calculate load weights, angles, and center of gravity to determine safe lifting methods
Attach loads to cranes or hoisting equipment and guide operators during lifts
Erect and dismantle scaffolding, derricks, and other structures used for lifting
Inspect rigging gear for wear, damage, or defects before and after use
Follow safety protocols and signal/communicate with crane operators (hand signals or radio)
Maintain rigging equipment and keep accurate inspection/maintenance records.
