Main duties and responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of buildings, machinery, tools, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and other equipment.
Carry out preventive maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules—for example cleaning, lubricating, tightening, adjusting, testing, and replacing worn parts before failure occurs.
Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic control systems.
Repair or replace defective components such as motors, belts, bearings, pumps, valves, switches, sockets, light fittings, pipes, locks, and damaged fixtures.
