Key duties & responsibilities:
Safely operate assigned crane(s) (mobile, crawler, tower, overhead, or hoist) for lifting, moving, and placing materials.
Inspect crane and rigging equipment before, during, and after shifts; report and tag out defects.
Read and interpret load charts, lift plans, blueprints and rigging diagrams; calculate load weights and choose correct rigging/boom length.
Perform or assist with rigging (select slings, shackles, spreader bars) and communicate with signal person/crew.
Follow lift plans and coordinate lifts with supervisors, signal persons, and ground crews.
Maintain accurate logbooks, inspection records and daily reports.
