Key responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance: lubrication, seal checks, alignment, coupling inspection, bearing changes, and filter replacements.
Diagnose and repair pump failures (mechanical seals, bearings, impellers, casings, shafts).
Perform mechanical alignment (dial indicator or laser), balancing, and vibration checks; interpret vibration data and recommend corrective action.
Remove/replace pumps, motors, drivers, and associated piping; perform rigging and lifting operations safely.
Rebuild pump assemblies and select/fit mechanical seals and packing.
Test and commission newly installed pumps; perform performance testing and record flow/pressure data.
Read and work from P&IDs, schematics, and manufacturers’ manuals.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders in CMMS.
