Laboratory Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Operations management — Oversee daily lab activities, workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation to keep testing/research on track.
Staff supervision — Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate lab technicians, analysts, and scientists; assign tasks and manage schedules.
Quality control & compliance — Ensure adherence to safety regulations (OSHA, GLP/GMP, ISO 17025, CLIA, etc.), maintain SOPs, and pass internal/external audits.
Equipment & inventory management — Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment; manage procurement, inventory, and vendor relationships for reagents/supplies.
Budget management — Plan and control the lab’s budget, including equipment purchases, supplies, and staffing costs.
