Inspect incoming materials, in-process items, and finished goods using visual checks, measuring instruments, and test equipment.
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and functional performance against drawings, work instructions, and standards.
Perform first-article/first-piece inspections and sampling inspections per AQL or company procedures.
Document inspection results, fill out inspection reports, and maintain traceability (lot/batch numbers, certificates).
Identify, tag, and quarantine nonconforming product; initiate and document nonconformance reports (NCRs).
Work with production/engineering to investigate root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Calibrate and maintain measuring tools and inspection equipment, or escalate calibration needs.
