Core Responsibilities:

Preparing shipments — packing, labeling, and staging orders for pickup or delivery
Verifying orders — checking picked items against packing slips or invoices for accuracy (correct product, quantity, condition)
Documentation — creating and processing bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, customs forms (for international shipments), and delivery receipts
Coordinating carriers — scheduling pickups with freight companies, couriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL), or trucking companies; comparing shipping rates/methods
Inventory tracking — updating inventory systems as items ship out; sometimes also receiving incoming stock and checking it against purchase orders
Operating equipment — using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and scanning/barcode systems.
