Crane Operator

Conducting thorough pre-operation (and post-operation) inspections of the crane, hydraulic systems, cables/wire rope, hooks, outriggers, controls, load charts, and safety devices.
Determining or verifying load weights, radii, boom configurations, and capacities using load charts to avoid overloads.
Setting up the crane (positioning, outriggers/stabilizers, leveling, attaching attachments).
Operating controls (levers, pedals, dials/joysticks) to lift, swing, boom, hoist, and precisely place loads.
Communicating constantly with ground teams; monitoring weather (especially wind), site conditions, and surroundings for hazards.
Performing minor maintenance/repairs, lubricating equipment, and keeping logs/records of operations and inspections.
