Taking accurate food and beverage orders (including special requests, modifications, and allergens) and entering them into a POS (point-of-sale) system or relaying them to the kitchen/bar.
Making menu recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, preparation, or pairings.
Serving food and drinks promptly and correctly, often carrying multiple plates or trays.
Checking on tables regularly to refill drinks, address needs, and ensure satisfaction.
Clearing tables, removing dirty dishes, and resetting them for the next guests.
Processing payments (cash, cards, etc.), handling tips, and preparing itemized checks.
Performing side work: stocking stations, rolling silverware, restocking condiments, light cleaning, and opening/closing duties.
