Core responsibilities:
Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
Prepare surfaces, mix mortar, and set bricks/blocks/stones to layout lines.
Build, repair, and maintain walls, partitions, chimneys, veneers, paving and other masonry structures.
Cut, shape, and trim masonry units; install openings, lintels, and anchors.
Check alignment, level, and plumb; finish joints (raked, struck, flush).
Install and dismantle scaffolding and bracing (where qualified).
Clean and finish worksite; protect finished work from damage.
Coordinate with other trades and foremen; report progress and issues.
