Job details: Operates hydraulic excavators to dig, trench, grade, load, and move earth, rock, and other materials on construction, mining, utility, and civil engineering sites, conduct pre-operation inspections (fluids, tracks/tires, hydraulic lines, bucket teeth, controls, safety devices). Also perform basic maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, minor adjustments) and report major issues and coordinate with ground crew using hand signals, radios, or cameras; maintain constant spatial awareness and site safety.
Qualifications: Degree is not mandatory, precise machine control and depth/grade accuracy, spatial awareness and safety consciousness around people and buried utilities and ability to work independently and adapt to changing site conditions.
