Job Details includes, directs and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring safety, quality, compliance, staffing, and that the lab has the necessary equipment and materials to sustain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for the day to day running of the laboratory and ensures lead times are adhered to.
Operate and monitor equipment to assure optimal performance and maintenance of all lab equipment .
Oversees installation, testing, calibration, operation and maintenance of highly sophisticated equipment .
Responsible for developing and enforcing adequate regulatory safety standards, security measures, maintenance schedules and universal precautions.
Train new laboratory personnel on established laboratory procedures, safety and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
High school Diploma or equivalent.
Leadership, interpersonal, critical-thinking, problem-solving and time-management abilities.
Chemical hygiene / biosafety officer duties for chemistry/microbiology labs.
