Design, analyse, test and support electrical systems and components; produce drawings/specs, perform simulations and prototyping, ensure compliance with codes/standards, troubleshoot and optimize systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support manufacturing/field deployment.
Core responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components.
Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Perform calculations (load, short-circuit, voltage drop, thermal, signal integrity).
Model and simulate designs (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, electromagnetic tools).
Select components, prepare BOMs, and work with suppliers.
Prototype, bench-test, and validate designs; iterate to meet specs.
Prepare and review technical documentation, test plans, and reports.
Required qualifications & Technical skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, Circuit design & simulation: SPICE, LTSpice, PSpice.
System modeling: MATLAB / Simulink.
PCB & ECAD: Altium Designer, Cadence, Mentor Graphics.
Mechanical/plant drawings: AutoCAD Electrical.
Test & measurement: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Clear communication and technical writing.
Teamwork and ability to work cross-discipline.
