Porter

Key responsibilities:    Transport items (luggage, supplies, equipment, furniture, patient beds) safely and efficiently.
Load/unload vehicles, deliver and collect items between departments or locations.
Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned areas (corridors, storage rooms, service areas).
Perform basic maintenance tasks and report hazards or equipment issues.
Assist staff/customers with directions, carrying items, and occasional basic patient handling (if trained).
Follow health, safety, and infection-control procedures; use PPE where required.

Required skills & qualifications:  Physical fitness and ability to lift/carry heavy loads safely (specify weight limits).
Good communication, reliability, punctuality, and teamwork.
Basic numeracy and ability to follow written/verbal instructions.
