Shipping Clerk

Core responsibilities / duties

Weigh and measure packages; apply postage/freight charges and class freight when applicable.
Inspect outgoing packages for damage and ensure proper packaging/materials are used.
Coordinate returns and exchanges with Returns Authorization (RMA) process as required.
Reconcile shipping records, resolve shipping discrepancies, and report shortages/overages.
Maintain inventory accuracy for staging and shipping areas; assist with cycle counts.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized shipping area.
Communicate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams about order status and exceptions.

Required skills and Education:

High school diploma or equivalent; Attention to detail and strong accuracy when verifying orders and creating documentation.
Good organizational and time-management skills; able to prioritize multiple shipments.
Strong communication skills for interacting with carriers, internal teams, and customers.
