Room Service Attendant

Key responsibilities:  Deliver in-room dining orders promptly and courteously according to hotel standards and guest requests.
Set up trays and trolleys, present food attractively, and follow any special service instructions (e.g., dietary needs, VIP preferences).
Clear trays, collect used dishes, and ensure guest room areas are left clean and tidy.
Verify orders against tickets/pos system; report discrepancies or shortages to the kitchen/room service supervisor.
Maintain proper food handling, hygiene, and safety practices (temperature control, cross-contamination prevention).

Required skills and attributes;

Excellent guest service and communication skills; professional, friendly manner.
Attention to detail and cleanliness.
Ability to carry trays and push trolleys safely; good physical stamina and mobility (frequent walking, lifting up to ~25–30 lbs).
Basic numeracy for handling checks, payments, and order verification.
Time management and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
