Key responsibilities:
Install wiring, conduit, breakers, panels, switches, receptacles, motors, lighting, and control systems.
Test electrical systems and continuity using meters, testers, and diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, replace components, and upgrade systems.
Ensure work complies with NEC (or local codes), safety regulations, and permits.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, building owners, and inspectors.
Keep accurate records, complete permits, and report work completed.
Required qualifications & Technical skills
High school diploma or equivalent, Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Proficiency with multimeters, clamp meters, megohmmeters, cable testers, conduit benders, etc.
Experience with residential wiring, commercial power distribution, or industrial motor controls (specify depending on role).
Basic PLC, VFD, or control system knowledge for industrial roles.
