Bartender

Core responsibilities:

Greet guests, take drink orders, make recommendations, and prepare cocktails, beer and wine to recipe and presentation standards.
Operate POS, take payments, and balance cash and tabs at shift end.
Maintain bar cleanliness, restock glassware/ingredients, and set up/close the bar.
Monitor patron intoxication levels and refuse service when required; follow local alcohol service laws and venue policies.
Manage inventory counts, report low stock, and reduce waste.
Upsell specials, promote events, and help train junior staff (barbacks).
Handle guest complaints professionally to preserve customer satisfaction.

Skills & personal attributes

Cocktail and drink-making knowledge; speed and consistency.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Cash-handling accuracy and basic math.
Calm under pressure; multitasking and prioritization.
Attention to hygiene and safety.
