Typical job details:
Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment such as conveyors, motors, pumps, presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, and production machinery
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
Read technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and machine diagrams
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments
Diagnose mechanical problems by listening for unusual sounds, checking vibration, temperature, and wear, and testing parts
Replace worn or damaged components such as bearings, belts, chains, seals, and shafts.
