Serving meals — taking orders, serving food and drinks in main dining rooms, buffets, specialty restaurants, or room service, often for the same table of guests throughout a cruise
Table setup and breakdown — setting tables to line standards, clearing and resetting between seatings
Guest interaction — greeting passengers, explaining menu items, handling dietary requests/allergies, making recommendations, remembering regulars’ preferences
Coordination with kitchen — relaying orders accurately, timing courses, handling special requests.
