Painter

Key responsibilities :

Prepare surfaces: clean, patch, sand, scrape, remove old paint, apply filler/caulk.
Mask and protect non-painted surfaces (drop cloths, tape, plastic sheeting).
Apply primers and paint by brush, roller, or spray equipment according to specifications.
Mix and match paint colours; thin/prepare paints and coatings.
Operate ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or boom trucks safely.
Maintain and clean tools and equipment.
Follow manufacturer instructions and safety procedures for coatings and solvents.

Core skills and competencies such as;  Proficient with brushes, rollers, sprayers (airless and HVLP), sanders, and scrapers.
Strong surface-preparation techniques (sanding, solvent cleaning, rust removal).
Color-matching and finishing skills for smooth, even coats.
Ability to read and follow specifications, technical data sheets.
Physical stamina, good hand–eye coordination, and steady hand for detail work.
