Job summary
Operates wheeled or tracked excavators and attachments to perform digging, trenching, grading, loading, and demolition work on construction, utility, landscaping, and civil projects. Performs daily equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and follows site safety and traffic-control procedures while coordinating with the site crew.
Safely operate excavators (mini, medium, or large) and attachments (buckets, hydraulic breakers, thumbs, grapples, augers).
Excavate trenches, foundations, footings, and drainage systems to specified lines, grades, and depths.
Load/unload trucks and place materials per site plans and supervisor directions.
Skills & attributes such as; Strong hand-eye coordination and machine control.
Good spatial awareness and judgment for safe digging near utilities.
Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and minor repairs.
Communication skills to coordinate with crew and follow instructions.
Dependability, punctuality, and good safety mindset.
