Safety Manager

Core responsibilities:

Design and deliver safety training and toolbox talks; manage training records and competency programs.
Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and pre-start checks; drive corrective/preventive actions to closure.
Monitor and report HSE performance metrics; present findings to leadership and recommend improvements.
Manage emergency response planning, drills, and incident command as required.
Oversee contractors’ safety performance and enforce safe work permits and procedures.
Promote continuous improvement and behavioural safety initiatives to build a proactive safety culture.

Required qualifications & skills

Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field preferred, Strong knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, local laws).
Analytical skills for root cause analysis and risk evaluation.
Leadership and coaching; able to influence across functions.
Strong verbal and written communication; able to produce clear reports.
Project management and organizational skills.
