Typical job duties:
Inspect and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, transformers, motors, and control panels
Diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs to prevent downtime
Install lighting, outlets, switches, and other electrical components
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Test equipment using multimeters, voltage testers, and other diagnostic tools
Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and electrical systems
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety procedures, and regulations
Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair requests.
