Install, repair and replace pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, water heaters, pumps, gas lines and drainage systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, plans and building codes to determine installation procedures.
Diagnose leaks, blockages, faulty valves and equipment using inspection tools (cameras, gauges).
Perform soldering, brazing, threading and pipe joining (PVC, copper, PEX, steel).
Pressure-test systems (hydrostatic testing) and commission plumbing systems.
Maintain records of work performed, parts used and hours; provide cost/time estimates.
Follow safety procedures, wear PPE and comply with local plumbing and building codes.
Communicate with customers, contractors and inspectors; coordinate site work.
