Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Examine teeth, gums, and related tissues using instruments, X-rays, and other diagnostic tools to diagnose diseases, abnormalities, or issues.
Remove tooth decay, fill cavities, repair or extract damaged teeth, place sealants or whitening agents, and perform procedures such as crowns, bridges, dentures, or root canals (depending on scope).
Administer anesthetics to manage pain during procedures.
Prescribe antibiotics or other medications.
Create individualized treatment plans and discuss options with patients.
Educate patients on oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, fluoride use), diet, and preventive care.
