Machine Operator

Core responsibilities:

Set up machines and change tooling, fixtures, or programs for production runs.
Start, operate, and monitor machines (CNC, presses, injection molders, mills, lathes, packaging lines, etc.) according to work orders and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Inspect parts during production using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and visual checks to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
Adjust machine settings and feeds/speeds to correct variations and optimize output.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs; report major malfunctions to maintenance.
Load/unload raw materials and finished goods; position and secure workpieces.
Record production data (counts, scrap, downtime, setup time) and complete production paperwork or electronic logs.
