Core responsibilities:
Read and interpret lift plans, load weights, rigging diagrams and site instructions.
Operate crane controls to lift, move and place materials, machinery, and personnel platforms as required.
Select and install rigging (slings, shackles, hooks) or work with riggers to secure loads.
Monitor crane performance and load limits; make safe adjustments; follow tag-line and signalling procedures.
Perform pre- and post-shift inspections; document defects and report maintenance needs.
Coordinate with spotters, riggers, signalers, supervisors, and other trades; follow hand and radio signals.
Comply with all site safety rules, OSHA/local regulations and company policies.
Required qualifications & skills
High school diploma or equivalent, Able to read load charts and basic lift/rigger plans.
Good spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination and communication skills.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
