Dentist

Perform oral exams, diagnose dental/periodontal disease, interpret radiographs.
Provide preventive care: cleanings (if hygienist not doing), fluoride, sealants, patient education on oral hygiene.
Restore teeth: fillings, crowns, bridges, onlays/inlays.
Perform endodontic treatment (root canals) or refer if specialist required.
Extract teeth and perform simple oral surgery; manage complications.
Place and restore dental implants (if trained) or coordinate implant care.
Manage periodontal disease (scaling/root planing, maintenance).
Fit and design prosthetics: dentures, partials, fixed prostheses.
Prescribe medications (antibiotics, analgesics, sedatives) and manage pain control/anesthesia.

Qualification & skills:

DDS or DMD degree from accredited dental school,  Manual dexterity, excellent hand‑eye coordination.
Strong diagnostic reasoning and problem solving.
Communication and patient‑education skills; ability to manage anxious patients and explain treatment/costs.
Organizational skills for charting, time management, and leading a clinical team.
