Job Description

Wash, rinse, sanitize dishes, glassware, cookware, utensils, and trays (by hand and/or using commercial dishwashers).
Sort and stack clean items; return them to correct storage locations.
Collect and dispose of waste; maintain recycling and composting procedures.
Clean and sanitize prep surfaces, sinks, floors, drains, and kitchen equipment.
Break down and stage dishwashing area at shift end; restock dishwashing chemicals, gloves, towels, and supplies.
Assist with food prep, receiving, and basic kitchen tasks during slow periods (e.g., peeling, chopping, portioning) when required.

Required skills

No formal education required.
Ability to follow instructions, work quickly, and maintain attention to cleanliness and safety.
Basic physical fitness: lift 25–50+ lbs, stand for long periods, bend, and reach.
Familiarity with commercial dishwasher operation and basic cleaning chemicals preferred.
Good teamwork and time-management skills.
