Core Responsibilities:
Reliability & uptime: Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of production systems and services
Incident response: Be on-call to diagnose and resolve outages or degraded performance quickly; lead or participate in post-incident reviews (postmortems)
Infrastructure & automation: Build tools, scripts, and automation to reduce manual toil, improve deployment pipelines, and prevent recurring issues
Capacity planning: Forecast resource needs (compute, storage, network) and help scale systems ahead of demand
Performance optimization: Identify bottlenecks in production systems and work with engineering teams to fix them.
