Core Duties:
Inspect slings, chains, hooks, shackles, ropes, and lifting devices before use
Plan and prepare lifts, including calculating load weight and choosing the right rigging gear
Attach loads to cranes, hoists, or other lifting equipment using chains, slings, and shackles
Ensure the load is balanced and secured before moving
Communicate with crane operators and other crew members using signals or radios
Follow workplace safety rules and regulations such as load limits, tag lines, and exclusion zones
Maintain equipment records and report damaged or unsafe gear.
